PMID: 40876406.<\/a><\/p><p><em>Le chromosome 20 en anneau est un syndrome g\u00e9n\u00e9tique rare caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par une \u00e9pilepsie, une d\u00e9ficience intellectuelle et d&#039;autres anomalies du d\u00e9veloppement neurologique. Les crises d&#039;\u00e9pilepsie sur le chromosome 20 en anneau sont souvent pharmacor\u00e9sistantes et invalidantes. Chez les patients atteints d&#039;\u00e9pilepsie pharmacor\u00e9sistante, des options non m\u00e9dicamenteuses sont souvent envisag\u00e9es\u00a0; cependant, leur efficacit\u00e9 est mal comprise. Nous avons \u00e9tudi\u00e9 l&#039;utilit\u00e9 de la stimulation du nerf vague chez les personnes atteintes du chromosome 20 en anneau dans cette s\u00e9rie de cas r\u00e9trospective. Les patients ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de nos bases de donn\u00e9es cliniques et de recherche, avec l&#039;aide d&#039;un groupe de soutien aux patients. Les patients et\/ou leurs aidants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 interrog\u00e9s par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone ou par visioconf\u00e9rence. Les donn\u00e9es recueillies comprenaient des donn\u00e9es d\u00e9mographiques, les caract\u00e9ristiques de l&#039;\u00e9pilepsie et la r\u00e9ponse aux traitements m\u00e9dicaux et non m\u00e9dicaux, y compris la stimulation du nerf vague. Quatorze patients ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inclus dans l&#039;\u00e9tude. 11\/14 ont signal\u00e9 une am\u00e9lioration de leur \u00e9pilepsie apr\u00e8s l&#039;implantation d&#039;un stimulateur du nerf vague, dont cinq avec une fr\u00e9quence r\u00e9duite des crises, trois avec une dur\u00e9e plus courte des crises, trois avec une r\u00e9duction ou une disparition de l&#039;\u00e9tat de mal \u00e9pileptique non convulsif ou de certains types de crises, et deux avec une r\u00e9duction. N\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&#039;un traitement de secours et signes\/sympt\u00f4mes post-ictaux plus courts chez deux patients. Une am\u00e9lioration des fonctions cognitives a \u00e9t\u00e9 rapport\u00e9e chez deux patients et une r\u00e9duction de l&#039;agressivit\u00e9 chez un autre.
