Accommodation details

If you haven’t booked a hotel to stay at during the conference weekend yet, we do recommend doing so soon, as August is a busy time and the prices do go up.  A number of families, trustees and speakers are already booked at either the Premier Inn, Liverpool One or the Novotel, Liverpool City Centre hotel.

The Premier Inn, Liverpool One currently has rooms available for 2 nights online (double family room for up to  2 adults/2 children under 16) this is room only and the non-refundable rate:

  • Friday 4 August 2017 £87.50 per room
  • Saturday 5 August 2017 £154.50 per room
We might be able to still secure further rooms at the Novotel at our preferential rate for Bed and Breakfast. Contact Allison to book at charity rate: allison@ring20researchsupport.co.uk

Don’t forget to visit easyfundraising before booking accommodation and travel as your booking could raise a donation to our cause at no extra cost to yourself.

Travel details

Liverpool has great transport links and is about 1 hr from Manchester by train/car.

If you book a city centre hotel e.g. those suggested above, then you should be within walking distance of all amenities for the weekend. (Everton FC is just outside the city centre – we are looking at providing a minibus service on the Saturday to/from the venue – single pick-up/drop off point in Liverpool city centre.)

Virgin trains run a regular hourly service from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street station (which is a short walk to the city centre hotels). The journey takes just 2hrs 7 mins. Liverpool Lime Street can also be accessed from trains in other parts of the UK (you may need to change trains at Crewe). Check thetrainline.com for your journey – book early for the best rates.

Liverpool has its own airport – John Lennon Airport, although you may find that there are more frequent flights/cheaper options into Manchester airport – which is a 1hr taxi/train ride into Liverpool City Centre.

If you’re driving to Liverpool and staying in the city centre then chargeable off-site parking is available at Q-Park Hanover Street (L1 4AF) at a discounted rate (for those staying at Premier Inn, Liverpool One) of £10.50 per 24 hours or £4.50 overnight between 5pm-9am. Parking ticket to be validated at hotel reception. Check your hotel for similar parking concessions as most city centre hotels do not provide onsite parking.

A great opportunity:

We would love as many of our families to attend as possible so, if you want to join us but have any difficulties in doing so please contact Tomi as we may be able to provide some assistance for you.

Contact Allison via email: allison@ring20researchsupport.co.uk
We do hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there!
