BPSU – Rare Disease Conference 2017

One of our amazing volunteers, Dawn, agreed to represent us as the Rare Disease Conference at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and did a fantastic job manning a stall.

BPSU1

The event was focusing on childhood rare diseases, the development of new treatments and how to best deliver them.  There was a great line up of speakers discussing the issues and a strong focus on the importance of correct diagnosis. This was amazing opportunity to raise awareness of R(20) to  clinicians, scientists and students with an interest in rare conditions. To find out more information on the conference and what was on the program follow this link for the details http://www.rcpch.ac.uk/bpsu/rdc17.

Dawn had this to say about the day “Was amazing meeting so many charities, medical professionals and some very interesting talks. More research and awareness is going to be a great help.” A big thank you to Dawn for her support and if you want to find out a bit more about her son’s R(20) story click here https://ring20researchsupport.co.uk/personal-stories/callums-story/.   Also if you would be interested in supporting the Charity’s work like Dawn, please do let us know by emailing us here [email protected].
