Ring20 secures funding from The Nineveh Trust

We’re delighted to share that we have recently secured a £3,000 grant from The Nineveh Trust, which will support the development of our new Families Liaison Project.

This exciting initiative has been created to provide bespoke, timely and appropriate support, information and opportunities to enhance the quality of life for families living with ring chromosome 20 syndrome [r(20) syndrome] across the world. The project will be overseen by our new Families Liaison Officer, who will act as a key point of contact for families, coordinate and develop family support services, and ensure that family voices directly inform the charity’s strategy, communications, research engagement and service development.

Allison Watson, Co‑Founder and CEO of Ring20 Research & Support UK CIO, says: “As a small UK-based charity working with global reach, we are incredibly excited to see this project come to life. We are deeply grateful to The Nineveh Trust for their continued support of our work and for helping us strengthen the way we support families. Living with r(20) epilepsy can feel isolating, so creating meaningful connections and building confidence, resilience and community is absolutely vital. This grant will help us do exactly that.”
