Ian Allen

Bookkeeper (Volunteer)

Hi, I’m Ian and I live near Reading, Berkshire, with my wife and two children. I’ve been a bookkeeper for just a couple of years now as a change of pace and for my physical and mental well-being was urgently called for. After 30 years in the catering industry, most of which were spent as a head chef, had taken its toll and I wanted to be able to see my little family grow up. Talking of family, this is how I got into bookkeeping. My sister, who is also the Treasurer of Ring20, has been a bookkeeper for more years than she cares to mention, both of our parents have been and even our maternal grandmother, so I guess you could say it’s definitely in our blood!
