Dr. Kentaro Tokumoto is a neurologist at National Epilepsy Center, NHO Shizuoka Institute of Epilepsy and Neurological Disorders in Shizuoka, Japan. He trained in neurology at Kameda Medical Center in Chiba and in epileptology at NHO Shizuoka Institute of Epilepsy and Neurological disorders. He is engaged in the diagnosis of epilepsy in teenagers to the elderly, medical treatment, preoperative evaluation of surgery, intracranial EEG analysis, brain function mapping using intracranial electrodes, social support, and rehabilitation. He is interested in analysing the electroclinical features of autoimmune mediated encephalitis, epilepsy, and other specific diseases, in order to make etiologic diagnosis from the perspective of epileptology. He met with Ring 20 patients and their families and saw the need for timely diagnosis, appropriate drug selection, and comprehensive care throughout their lives. He hopes to be involved in disseminating information that will give hope to patients, their families, and the medical staff surrounding them.
