Director of the Neurology
I worked in the Epilepsy field since my first years of training in Neurology. I was a clinical fellow at NINDS-NIH, Bethesda-USA and after I developed my career in Epilepsy in Milan.
I worked on rare diseases with epilepsy. I contributed to the description of the phenotype of ring 20 since 1995. In our Epilepsy Center we take care both of children and adults. Teaching and research activity is also mainly related to rare epilepsies. San Paolo Epilepsy Center participates to the activities of the ERN EPICARE. We participate to clinical trials in the area of drug resistant epilepsies.I am also the Director of the Neurology unit at San Paolo Hospital in Milan that comprehends also an Autism Spectrum Disorder Center and an ADHD Center.
I have been involved in the activities of scientific societies as an elected member (Italian League against epilepsy, European Epilepsy Academy, International bureau for Epilepsy) and as a member of Commissions in the International League against Epilepsy.
