Launching our NEW!!! ___Families Liaison Project___
This exciting initiative has been created to provide bespoke, timely and appropriate support, information and opportunities to enhance the quality of life for families living with ring chromosome 20 epilepsy syndrome across the world. The project will be overseen by our new Families Liaison Officer, who will act as a key point of contact for families, coordinate and develop family support services, and ensure that family voices directly inform the charity’s strategy, communications, research engagement and service development.
Allison Watson, Co‑Founder and CEO of Ring20 Research & Support UK CIO, says:
As a small UK-based charity working with global reach, we are incredibly excited to see this project come to life. We are deeply grateful to our funders for their continued support of our work and for helping us strengthen the way we support families. Living with r(20) epilepsy can feel isolating, so creating meaningful connections and building confidence, resilience and community is absolutely vital. These grants will help us do exactly that.

Key aims of the 3-year project
- To enhance engagement with patient family members
- To increase connections between beneficiaries and the Ring20 charity, and amongst members themselves
- To build a stronger and more resilient community, with improved support based on the needs expressed by the membership
